PALMETTO FELLOWS SCHOLARSHIP
The Palmetto Fellows Scholarship Program is a merit-based scholarship program administered by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education. The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education determines initial eligibility. You may log on to the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education website at www.che.sc.gov to view the initial requirements. Award Amount: Up to $ 6,700.00

LIFE (LEGISLATIVE INCENTIVE FOR FUTURE EXCELLENCE) SCHOLARSHIP
The LIFE Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program administered by the financial aid office at each eligible public and independent institution in South Carolina. The LIFE Scholarship may be used toward the cost-of-attendance for up to eight terms based on the student's initial college enrollment date. Students must be enrolled in their first one-year program, first associate's degree, first two-year program leading to a baccalaureate degree, first baccalaureate degree, or first professional degree. Students must be South Carolina residents at the time of high school graduation and during the scholarship award period. You may log on to the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education website at www.che.sc.gov for additional requirements. Award Amount: $ 5,000.00

HOPE SCHOLARSHIP
The South Carolina HOPE Scholarship Program was established under the South Carolina Education Lottery Act. It is a one-year, merit-based scholarship created for first-time entering freshmen attending a four-year institution who do not qualify for the LIFE or Palmetto Fellows Scholarships but graduated from a South Carolina high school with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students must be South Carolina residents at the time of high school graduation and during the period of award. Award Amount: $ 2,800.00

INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
There are a limited number of scholarships offered for academics, athletics and choir. Some do not require an application; for others, students are invited to apply. Students may contact the Office of Student Financial Aid toll free at 1 (866) 828-1514 for additional information.

Financial aid awards will be posted to student's accounts and applied in the following order:

  • Pell Grant
  • FSEOG
  • SC Tuition Grant
  • Outside Scholarships
  • Institutional Scholarships
  • Loans
If you are awarded one of the scholarships offered by Allen University, they will be applied for the cost of tuition, room and board only after all federal, state and outside scholarships are applied.
  • On Campus:  $15,124
  • Off Campus:   $ 9,884

Note: You are eligible to receive the listed scholarships if there is a financial need to cover an unpaid balance for the 2008-2009 academic year. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE LIMITED and awarded on a first come first serve basis.

There will be NO over awards therefore; NO REFUNDS will be issued.
